Chef Naimah Rutling “Chef Nai”

Executive Chef

Chef Nai earned a Food Science degree from The Art Institute of Philadelphia and has more than 30 years of experience in the culinary field, both in restaurants and as a private caterer.

She started her professional career at Wolfgang Puck Catering and held several chef and management positions before opening her own catering business. In 2019, she joined Cathedral Kitchen as a part-time Culinary Chef Instructor, working in our Culinary Arts Training program. Chef Nai reflects the background of many of our students, making her highly relatable and an excellent model of success. In August 2023 she was promoted to Executive Chef. Still serving as our students’ beloved lead instructor for the Culinary Arts program, she also provides oversite of meal production for our Meal Program and serves as the lead Chef for our catering program.
