Cathedral Kitchen is excited to announce an opening for a Development Specialist. This role can be part-time, offering 22.5 hours per week, or full-time if the candidate also takes on receptionist duties on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Position Title: Development/ Administrative Associate
Basic Function: Manage social media, provide advanced level administrative support for development department, answer phones and greet guests who are typically CK clients, assist with some general administrative and programmatic work
Development
- Foundation Research – using databases and the internet, research potential funders to CK
- Works with Development staff to generate and assemble donation acknowledgment letters
- Assists with development initiatives and tasks as needed, such as data entry into CK’s donor database (Raiser’s Edge)
- Monitors and maintains an inventory of Marketing brochures, packets, menus
- Orders Nametags, and Business Cards as needed
- Produces foundation and business grant acknowledgements
- Assists with grant reports, i.e., the Camden County Quarterly Grant Reports
- Other development duties as assigned and as skills/interests dictate
- Interview clients for success stories.
- Assist with prospect research
Social Media/Marketing
- Drafting and posting content across CK’s social media platforms and maintaining a social media calendar
- Manages Google AdWords and other direct marketing pay-per-click
- Prepares display materials for catering jobs
- Creates and administers a survey for post-catering events
- Other marketing and media responsibilities as assigned and as skills/interest dictate
Annual Fundraising Coordinating
- Throughout the year, research potential new sponsors and compiles list of lapsed sponsors
- Prepares mailing to renewal, lapsed, and prospective sponsors
- Generates acknowledgment letters for sponsors, ads, and donations
- Tracks receipt of sponsor commitments, payment, acknowledgments sent, logos, ads, and ticket assignments
- Submits online requests for auction prizes
- Prepares Auction Committee materials
- Provides web links to auction items on GiveSmart
- Creates gift certificates and signage for auction and raffle items
- Creates and administers post-event survey
Full-Time Option Additional Requirements
Reception and Administration (two days a week): Tuesday/ Thursday (15 hours)
- Answers phones, takes messages, and answers the door, greeting guests and others with hospitality and assisting with their needs (as appropriate)
- Sorts, and distributes incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Handles outgoing mail
- Maintains Staff Organizational Chart and Staff Photo Directory
- Assists the Business Operations Manager in the maintenance of office files
- Provides support to office staff to process mailings and other paperwork
- Assists with other administrative duties as assigned
Program Assistance
- Field client questions and requests
- Fills in at the dining service when low on volunteers or staff
- Help organize staff food pantry and guest personal care/clothing supplies
- Assists with other programmatic duties from time to time as skills/interest dictate
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
